Western Asset Managed Municipals Fund Inc. Announces Results of Annual Meeting of Shareholders
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Western Asset Managed Municipals Fund Inc. (the "Fund"), which is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol ("MMU")," announced today the results of the votes cast at the Fund's annual meeting of shareholders held September 27, 2013.
Jeswald W. Salacuse was elected as a Class II Director of the Fund by holders of the Fund's auction rate cumulative preferred stock ("preferred stock") to hold office until the annual meeting of shareholders in the year 2016 or thereafter when a successor is duly elected and qualified or until he resigns or is otherwise removed.
Daniel P. Cronin and Eileen A. Kamerick were elected as Class II Directors of the Fund by holders of the Fund's common stock and preferred stock, voting together as a single class, to hold office until the annual meeting of shareholders in the year 2016 or thereafter when respective successors are duly elected and qualified.
Kenneth D. Fuller was elected as a Class I Director of the Fund by owners of the Fund's common stock and preferred stock, voting together as a single class, to hold office until the annual meeting of shareholders in the year 2015 or thereafter when a successor is duly elected and qualified or until he resigns or is otherwise removed.
