Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment's 'Despicable Me 2' Float Debuts a Cupcake Parlor at the 87thAnnual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade®
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- This Thanksgiving, Manhattan will share a memorable moment of Minion Madness with the world when a brand new "Despicable Me 2" float joins the 87th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade®.In celebration of the national holiday and the upcoming release on Blu-ray™ and DVD on Dec. 10and Digital HD on Nov. 26, 2013 of "Despicable Me 2," the No. 1 comedy of the year rolls out a deliciously decorated cupcake parlor inspired by the blockbuster film. Featuring Gru, the reformed master criminal turned devoted dad, and the unpredictable Minions, the new Parade float promises to keep things lively and entertaining for millions of fans, both young and old.

The new "Despicable Me 2" float will feature the Minions and Gru and the first public appearance of a new character introduced in "Despicable Me 2." The confectionary scene on the 20-foot high, 33-foot long classic bake shop-themed float features larger-than-life cupcakes. Measuring 3½-feet tall and 2-feet wide, these scrumptious delights will have millions of spectators craving a bite as they watch the Minion madness unfold down the route.
