Dataprobe Announces Product Line Expansion for iPIO-8
Network Reliability Solutions Provider to Release iPIO-2 for Remote Locations and iPIO-16 for Larger Installations
ALLENDALE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Dataprobe, a leading provider of customizable power and network management solutions, today announced updates to its iPIO-8 product line for monitoring and control digital I/O solutions. The updates include the release of two new iPIOversions: a smaller iPIO-2 and a larger iPIO-16, offering highly flexible monitoring and control digital I/O solutions to both new and existing iPIO-8users in a variety of industries including security, industrial automation, manufacturing and broadcast.
"The expansion of the iPIO product line demonstrates Dataprobe's commitment to product innovation designed to fit our customers' needs," said David Weiss, President of Dataprobe. "The new iPIOdevices can be used to complement an existing iPIO-8 or as standalone solutions that are increasingly customizable to users' specific monitoring and control digital I/O solutions."
Dataprobe's iPIO devices allow users to bring legacy command and control systems into networked environments. These network-attached, IP addressed digital input/output devices can be monitored and controlled through web browsers, giving users the freedom to manage systems remotely. Multiple iPIO devices can communicate amongst themselves to transport I/O information across a network, and links are bi-directional, so events in either location are reflected at any other site. iPIOproducts are ideal for controlling systems such as physical events, climate control, industrial control and security alerts on a networked environment.
iPIOproducts are now available in three different models. The current iPIO-8 is manageable via web browser, and can be tailored with custom and OEM applications for a user's specific needs. The product line expansion consists of two new product sizes, which are designed to fit more seamlessly with users' specific device needs. The new iPIO-2 is a smaller device for remote locations. It will support Power Over Ethernet, meaning no additional power supply is needed, making it ideal for remote devices such as web-based cameras. The iPIO-16is designed for larger installations or to be used as an aggregator for multiple remote sites.
The following new features are included in all iPIO models:
Real time status without the need for web browser refresh.
The ability to download, save and reinstall configuration files for security and to easily support multiple units with similar configurations.
Interoperability with iBoot power switches to allow remote GPIO control of power.
A multi-user system that supports up to eight concurrent sessions, via web, telnet and SNMP.
Improved Web interface design with enhanced data input validation.
"We pride ourselves on providing our customers with customized monitoring and control network solutions," said George Foote, VP of Sales at Dataprobe. "With the additions to the iPIOproduct line, system administrators can build highly specialized solutions that allow for the remote monitoring and response to changing systems, ultimately saving time and resources."
The new iPIO products will be available for purchase on Dataprobe's website in October, with prototypes and samples available immediately. Learn more about the iPIO product suite by visiting www.Dataprobe.com.
