Another Reason to Believe This Marvel Movie Will Be a Winner

Each day seems to bring more signs that next summer's Guardians of the Galaxy movie will be a winner, says Fool contributor Tim Beyers in the following video.

Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief Axel Alonso provided the latest clue in his column at Comic Book Resources. While Alonso insists Guardians will be a distinct Marvel movie, he also described writer Brian Michael Bendis' work on the comic book of the same name as "widescreen." A filmmaking term that fits nicely, Tim says, when you consider that Marvel is also in the middle of publishing a cosmic-themed miniseries titled Infinity that features the Guardians.

A coincidence? Doubtful, Tim says. Even if there isn't a direct tie-in with the movie, Marvel is spending time introducing (or reintroducing) its most loyal fans to these cosmic characters in hopes they'll not only buy the comics but also show up at the box office. Do you agree? Please watch the video to get Tim's full take, and then leave a comment to let us know where you stand.
