Unum Keeps Dividend Steady

Unum Group will be keeping its dividend steady this quarter at $0.145 per share. The financial protection benefits provider has given the same amount to investors since boosting its payout 11% in July 2013, from $0.13 per share to $0.145. Unum's latest dividend will be payable on Nov. 15 to stockholders of record as of the close of business on Oct. 28.

On an annualized basis, the company's dividend factors out to $0.58. Unum's stock was trading at $30.44 at the market's close on Oct. 2. This means that its dividend currently has a 1.9% yield.
