Ingersoll-Rand Keeps Dividend Steady

Industrial conglomerate Ingersoll-Randannounced yesterday its third-quarter dividend of $0.21 per share, the same rate it has paid for the past three quarters.

The quarterly dividend is payable on Nov. 15 to the holders of record at the close of business on Nov. 1. The conglomerate has paid consecutive quarterly cash dividends since 1919 and annual dividends since 1910.

The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.84-per-share annual dividend, yielding 1.3% based on Tuesday's closing price of Ingersoll-Rand's stock of $65.18.
