Event at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium Attracts 1,200 Attendees and 110 Leading Wireless Manufacturers

BALTIMORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- TESSCO Technologies Incorporated (NAS: TESS) tomorrow will host more than 1,200 qualified business professionals and 110 leading wireless manufacturers at its third annual Innovation Showcase at Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium. Innovation Showcase 2013 brings together top manufacturers; public and private network operators; industry leaders; enterprise and government customers; retailers; and TESSCO team members offering expert insight into "Making Wireless Work for You." The day-long event is by invitation only.

The Showcase exhibit area on the stadium Club Level concourse features manufacturing companies representing every kind of wireless product and application from outdoor wireless infrastructure and office Wi-Fi to accessories for enhancing smartphones and tablets. TESSCO's Innovation Showcase 2013 also includes workshops and panel discussions on hot topics in wireless broadband such as distributed antenna systems (DAS), small cells, network test equipment, and retail strategies. In addition, specialized "experience centers" will feature the most advanced audio and emerging technologies that enhance mobile devices, as well as customized solutions to enable workers and their mobile devices to stay connected, protected, safe, and productive, regardless of their work environment - in the office, in the vehicle, or in the field.

Behind-the-scenes tours of M&T's leading-edge wireless DAS network will occur throughout the event. TESSCO played a key role in the product sourcing, logistics, design, and staging needed for the installation of the network, which enables enhanced broadband voice and data services throughout the stadium.

The Innovation Showcase also features a presentation by John Santo, a retired Department of Homeland Security senior executive. Santo's session, entitled "Public Safety Broadband: What Will it Mean to You?," will provide an insider's view of how the changing needs of frontline government, Public Safety agencies, and private sector providers will shift the paradigm in mission-critical communications. His insight will include perspective on opportunities related to the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012's proposal for the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) - an independent entity within the National Telecommunications & Information Administration authorized to provide emergency responders with the first high-speed, nationwide network dedicated to Public Safety.
