McKesson Poaches Symantec CFO
Occasionally in the world of corporate headhunting, what goes around truly comes around. Such is the case with McKesson , which has done some executive poaching of its own after American Expressgrabbed its CFO Jeffrey Campbell this past June. McKesson announced today it has filled that position with James Beer, now the ex-CFO of Symantec. McKesson will also be executive vice president at his new company. His employment begins on October 9.
Previous to his time at Symantec, Beer was CFO of AMR and that company's chief subsidiary, American Airlines.
For his labors at McKesson, Beer will be paid an annual base salary of $800,000, according to an SEC filing made by the firm. He will also be eligible for various company incentive plans and stock options.
