Sigma-Aldrich Keeps Dividend Steady

High-tech life-science specialist Sigma-Aldrichannounced today its third-quarter dividend of $0.215 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past three quarters after raising the payout 7.5%, from $0.20 per share. The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Dec. 13 to the holders of record at the close of business on Nov. 29.

The life sciences company also announced Michael Hollenkamp, who has been with Sigma-Aldrich since 1997, had been elected to the position of vice president and treasurer. Hollenkamp has held various leadership positions within the company's tax and treasury departments. Prior to joining Sigma-Aldrich, he held tax positions with two other Saint Louis-based companies.

Hollenkamp has an accounting degree from Southern Illinois University and is a CPA.


The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.86-per-share annual dividend, yielding 1% based on the closing price today of Sigma-Aldrich stock.
