AT&T Maintains Dividend
AT&T is continuing to answer the call for shareholder payouts. The telecom giant has declared its latest common stock dividend, which is to be $0.45 per share, paid on November 1 to shareholders of record as of October 10. That amount matches each of the firm's three preceding distributions, the most recent of which was handed out at the beginning of August. Prior to that, AT&T paid $0.44 per share.
The firm is a consistent and predictable dividend payer. Since 2009, it has raised its distribution by $0.01 at the start of every year.
The just-declared dividend annualizes to $1.80 per share. That yields 5.3% at AT&T's current stock price of $33.92.
