Intel Declares Fresh Dividend

Intel is sticking to its existing dividend policy for the time being. The powerhouse chip maker today declared a quarterly common stock payout of $0.225 per share, to be dispensed on Dec. 1 to shareholders of record as of Nov. 7. That amount matches each of the company's preceding five distributions, the most recent of which was handed out at the beginning of this month. Prior to that, Intel was slightly less generous, paying $0.21 per share.

The firm is one of the steadier dividend payers in the tech space. It has handed out distributions on a regular basis since December 1992.

The just-declared dividend annualizes to $0.90 per share. That yields 3.8% at Intel's most recent closing stock price of $23.70.
