Freeport McMoRan Maintains Dividend

The copper continues to flow into stockholder hands at Freeport McMoRan Copper & Gold . The precious metals specialist has declared [link opens in PDF] its latest quarterly common stock dividend, which is to be $0.3125 per share paid on Nov. 1 to shareholders of record as of Oct. 15.

That amount matches each of the company's previous six distributions, the most recent of which was handed out at the beginning of August. Prior to that, Freeport McMoRan dispensed $0.25 per share.

The company also pays supplemental dividends from time to time. The most recent was a $1 per-share payout at the beginning of July.


The just-declared regular dividend annualizes to $1.25 per share. That yields 3.7% at Freeport McMoRan's current stock price of $33.92.
