DTS and Deezer Announce Plans to Offer Popular Music Subscription Service for Play-Fi-Enabled Wireless Home Audio Systems

Addition of Deezer Expands Global Roster of Music Services Available for DTS' "Hi-Fi over Wi-Fi" Audio Technology

CALABASAS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- DTS, Inc. (NAS: DTSI) , a leader in high-definition audio solutions and audio post processing technologies, and Deezer jointly today announced an agreement to integrate the popular global music service into its Play-Fi™ app for Android devices. Deezer's four million paying subscribers around the world will be able to stream their favorite music from Android, iOS, and Windows PC devices to Play-Fi-enabled products, to experience lossless, whole-home audio, all using a standard Wi-Fi network.

"We see Play-Fi as a global technology and this alliance with Deezer, the preeminent music service in over 180 countries, solidifies the technology's position as a leading wireless solution worldwide," said Brian Towne, executive vice president and chief operating officer, DTS. "Play-Fi is at the heart of a growing ecosystem of whole-home audio products that consumers are using to enjoy music from all of their personal devices. Our goal is to give them the broadest range of music choices, and Deezer is a tremendous addition to the platform."

Clément Cézard, Deezer's chief business development officer, commented: "This collaboration is a real exciting step, not just for us, but for the millions of music fans who want access to their favourite tracks and playlists anywhere in the house. By integrating with Play-Fi technology, music lovers the world over will get the high quality audio they expect from DTS, complete with the full Deezer experience—25 million tracks, over 500,000 radio channels and, of course, handpicked recommendations from our team of editors all over the world."

Deezer will be accessible directly through the Play-Fi app, and subscribers will have unlimited access to the catalogue of 25 million tracks, which Deezer makes instantly available with enhanced sound quality. Once the app is downloaded, current Deezer subscribers will have instant access to their account. New users can become subscribers and choose from any of Deezer's multiple music service options, including Discovery Mode, Free Trial, Premium and Premium+.

With Play-Fi, users can stream their music directly to any Play-Fi-equipped audio system, including products like the Phorus PS1 Speaker and the Wren V5PF Speaker, or stream it through their existing home audio system using the Phorus PR1 Receiver. Play-Fi also gives users full control of the home speaker network—allowing them to set up, link, and stream audio to one speaker system or multiple speaker systems at once, another industry first.
