General Mills Keeps Dividend Steady

General Mills is doling out another portion of shareholder payout. The company has declared its latest quarterly dividend, which is to be $0.38 per share paid on November 1 to shareholders of record as of October 10. That amount matches the firm's previous distribution, which was paid at the beginning of August. Prior to that, General Mills handed out $0.33 per share.

The company is one of the more storied dividend payers on the market. In the press release announcing the latest distribution, it pointed out that it and its predecessor have been dispensing payouts on an uninterrupted basis for 115 years.

The just-declared dividend annualizes to $1.52 per share. That yields 3.1% at General Mills' most recent closing stock price of $48.85.
