Former Journalist Jonathan Fowlie Joins Hill+Knowlton Strategies Vancouver
VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Hill+Knowlton Strategies Canada (H+K)—the country's No. 1-rated public and government relations company—today announced the appointment of former journalist Jonathan Fowlie to its growing Vancouver office.
With more than 10 years of reporting experience for newspapers including the Vancouver Sun, Fowlie brings a new perspective to H+K's integrated communications and government relations consultancies.

Prior to joining H+K, Fowlie worked at the Vancouver Sun for nine years, including six as legislative bureau chief in Victoria. In this role, he worked alongside the province's leading journalists, providing lead coverage of provincial affairs, forming key relationships and breaking stories that helped drive the political dialogue in B.C. Before this, he was a reporter for the Globe and Mail in Toronto.
Fowlie has had a front-row seat for major policy developments such as the introduction of the Carbon Tax and the Harmonized Sales Tax, and as a result has developed a keen understanding of how decisions are made and how government works. He has covered stories ranging from an Asian provincial trade mission to the war in Afghanistan to the Tour de France. He has also served as a political commentator on CBC Radio and on CTV's national politics show, Power Play with Don Martin.
Fowlie joined the company earlier this month.
