CSI Introduces Expanded Security Offerings for Its RISC Services

New compliance consulting services provide institutions stronger support to improve security

PADUCAH, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- In an effort to support customers in mitigating the risks of a system attack or data breach, Computer Services, Inc. (CSI) (OTCQX: CSVI), a provider of end-to-end technology solutions that empower financial institutions to remain competitive, compliant and profitable, has introduced three new offerings for its Risk and Information Security Consulting (RISC) Services group. CSI's RISC Services works with institutions to help them comply with the latest rules and regulations, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) and the Red Flags Rule.

The additional services complement the group's existing regulatory compliance modules to provide customers with a more robust suite of solutions to better protect their institution. These new security-focused offerings include:

  • CSI's Advanced Social Engineering with Network Exploitation service identifies key social engineering risks by performing thorough reconnaissance of an organization and its employees, mimicking a real-world cyberattack to target the same internal information cybercriminals seek out;

  • CSI's Password Audit servicetests the strength and security of an organization's passwords by auditing the stored versions of encrypted passwords to uncover predictable patterns and security weaknesses, which may leave the organization vulnerable to password exploitation and system infiltration; and

  • CSI's Web Application Testing service leverages the latest web application security tactics from the Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) to analyze the security of an organization's web applications and identify key vulnerabilities as well as their potential impact on overall information security.

"As we continue to see changes within the industry brought about by advancements in technology and heavier regulatory pressure, we identified a definite need for greater guidance and support to ensure the continued success of our customers," said Keith Haskett, vice president of operations of CSI's Regulatory Compliance Division. "By introducing these modules into our current suite of RISC Services, we not only help our customers identify internal vulnerabilities within their institution, but also provide them with the tools necessary to fully address any issues uncovered."

In addition to the three newest service offerings, CSI's RISC Services also provides Information Security Reviews, External Penetration Testing, Social Engineering Testing, Red Flags Reviews, IT Audits, BSA/AML Audits, website compliance evaluations and internal vulnerability assessments. Each of the RISC Services solutions offers customers a well-balanced mix of analysis, technology, reporting and industry expertise to eliminate growing concerns and challenges institutions may encounter as new regulations are introduced and implemented.

"While the latest additions to our RISC Services focus heavily on cybersecurity and attacks, our team continues to monitor the industry for any area of concern affecting our valued customers," Haskett said. "As additional guidance and regulations are introduced, we remain dedicated to providing the solutions our customers need to meet the changing requirements quickly and without issue."
