Arrow Teaches Oracle Partners Evolutionary Approach to Demand Generation Using Social Media
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ORACLE OPEN WORLD 2013-- Arrow Electronics Inc. (NYS: ARW) today officially unveiled a robust program around social-media enablement and lead generation that is available to North American solution providers authorized to sell Oracle technology.
"Given social networking now pervades not only personal life but also the business environment, social media can be effective vehicles for identifying new prospects and new sales opportunities," said Tom Colleary, vice president of the North American Oracle business within Arrow's enterprise computing solutions segment. "This training helps solution providers incorporate social media in their demand-generation activities."
The Arrow social media lead-generation programs provide sales- and marketing-focused enablement training for using social media sites to advertise, brand, prospect, generate leads and track sales and marketing activities, such as thorough monitoring, audience development and dashboard measurement. All content is delivered through Arrow's dedicated Oracle enablement and demand-generation online "channel," where solution providers also can post videos, participate in live webinars, access informational material and engage in online conversations with Arrow and Oracle's technical team.
"Contour's sales team has learned how to optimize its social media strategy from these training sessions and insight from Arrow," said Rocco Guerriero, CEO of Contour Data Solutions LLC, an Arrow solution provider. "Our sales representatives have increased their social media presence by 25 percent and have learned how to better connect with prospective customers. The Social Lead Scout Program available through Arrow complements our current social networking strategy and helps increase new business connections."
"Arrow provides great value to our partner community through programs such as this to drive awareness and grow the pipeline for Oracle solutions," said Tom LaRocca, Oracle senior vice president of North America sales - alliances and channels. "Social media is quickly becoming the standard for networking and opportunity development."
Arrow presented how it differentiates through innovations such as social media lead-generation programs yesterday at Oracle Open World. A video playback of the presentation will be available in the days that follow through the Arrow channel for Oracle enablement and demand generation at https://www.brighttalk.com/channel/9543.
