MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Booz Allen Hamilton proudly announced today that it has been inducted in to Working Mother magazine's Hall of Fame after fifteen consecutive years on the publication's prestigious Working Mother 100 Best Companies list. Along with Booz Allen, 2 other organizations will join the Hall of Fame this October. To date 31 companies have been awarded this honor, which is bestowed upon organizations with longstanding tenure on the Working Mother best companies list.

Featured in the October/November issue of Working Mother, the list recognizes companies' commitment to fostering progressive workplaces that promote flexibility and advancement through programs such as child care and paid family leave.

"When Booz Allen provides a family-friendly environment, both our people and our company succeed," said Betty Thompson, Booz Allen Executive Vice President and Chief Personnel Officer. "Our progressive workplace environment empowers our talented, working women to build strong careers, advance their professional skills and lead at the highest levels of our organization."

Each of the 100 companies honored on the list nominated one woman who embodies the best in working motherhood. This year, Booz Allen is proud to announce that Lead Associate Latricia Dukes has been selected as a 2013 Working Mother of the Year.

Dukes has worked as a consultant at Booz Allen for seven years. "Latricia is the consummate professional," said Thompson. "She brings tremendous value to the firm and our clients as a dedicated mentor to colleagues and an avid community volunteer. She gives her time to initiatives such as the Reston Interfaith Thanksgiving Day, Great Minds in STEM partnership, Women in Technology Job Fair and her local PTA group."

"I get joy and fulfillment from mentoring others, it is a way I can 'give back' and show my appreciation for all of the guidance and support I receive from senior women at Booz Allen," Dukes said. "It is important to make time to help others and dedicate yourself to causes that you are passionate about. I do all this to show my son that volunteerism is a way of life."

"Being a mother is the most rewarding and challenging career a woman will ever embark on," Latricia continued. "I am honored to work for a company that allows me to give my all at the work place and at home."

Dukes and others from Booz Allen will attend the Work Life Congress annual conference held from October 21-23, 2013. As part of the conference, all honored companies and Working Mother of the Year recipients will be recognized at the Working Mother 100 Best Companies Gala Awards Dinner on October 23rd at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.
