American Express Keeping Dividend Steady

American Express will be paying investors a quarterly dividend $0.23 per share of common stock. The company has paid this amount since August 2013, after boosting its payout $0.03, or 15%, from $0.20 per share. This latest dividend amount will be payable on Nov. 8 to shareholders of record as of Oct. 4.

On an annualized basis, American Express' dividend adds to $0.92 per share. As of the market's close on Friday, Sept. 20, the company's stock was trading at $77.32, which means the company currently has a 1.2% dividend yield.
