Marvel Takes a Big-Picture Approach With "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

With Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.set to premiere next week, Marvel is taking greater care to ensure that its comics, movies, and TV shows are more correlated than they used to be. Investors should cheer the integration, Fool contributor Tim Beyers says in the following video.

In a recent interview with The New York Times, Jed Whedon, Joss' brother and an executive producer of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., said the writing team sends its story ideas to a creative committee to avoid conflicts with anything planned for the cinematic universe. Executives from both Marvell's publishing and movie division are involved in the process.
