Microsoft's Bing Redesign Still Won't Help It Compete With Google

Software giant Microsoft's foray into search has been a flop so far.

However, in true Microsoft form, the company still remains determined that it can eventually erode some of search powerhouse Google's utter dominance of this multibillion-dollar industry. Whether this idea's actually in touch with reality is apparently beside the point.

Microsoft recently launched the next phase of its search onslaught by totally redesigning its Bing search engine in hopes of appealing more to consumers. And while the new design might be pretty slick, the question remains whether this is the right course for Microsoft and its investors.
