Last weeks devastating floods in Colorado are a sad reminder of nature's fury. Hurricanes and tornadoes typically garner the most impactful headlines, but what happened in the Rockies over the past week is worth paying attention to. That being said, things could have taken an even darker turn for the worse.
Quite near the path of the floods rest fourteen tons of spent nuclear fuel that had been used by Xcel Energy . The company is already prepared to repair up to 20 miles of natural gas pipelines and thousands of meters, but damage to the nuclear fuel could've had untold ramifications. Multiple other companies have been affected, and our analysts provide an update in the following video.
