Unum now offers dental insurance nationwide
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Unum's new dental offering is now available nationwide, following a successful launch in select markets across the country.
Unum (NYS: UNM) offers dental coverage through a partnership with United Concordia, with Unum as the primary brand and United Concordia as the underwriter. The partnership unites two employee benefit market leaders to provide group dental benefits that align with Unum's other financial protection benefits.
"Dental is one of the most popular employee benefits and is an essential piece of a comprehensive employee benefits plan," said Matt Purington, director of product and market development. "We're excited to expand the availability of Unum Dental as a complement to our other employee benefits, including short term and long term disability, life and voluntary benefits."
Unum dental is designed to encourage employees to get preventive care. It now offers enhancements that can provide extra cleanings, disease management services and incentives for employees to get the check-ups and care they need.
Through the United Concordia Alliance Network, Unum dental customers have access to one of the most extensive dental PPO networks in the country. The Alliance Network includes more than 92,500 dentists at 240,000 access points.
