Williams Joins Huron Legal to Lead Growing Discovery Services Business
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Huron Consulting Group (NAS: HURN) , a leading provider of business consulting services, today announced that Mark R. Williams has joined its Huron Legal practice as a managing director and leader of Discovery services. Williams will work with law departments and law firms to address e-discovery challenges in litigation, regulatory matters, contracts, and investigations.

As the head of Huron Legal's Discovery business, Williams along with a deep bench of experienced Huron professionals will help clients control costs and manage resources to address every phase of clients' e-discovery needs. Huron Legal's broad array of discovery services includes its newest offering, Integrated Analytics, which is one of the most advanced e-discovery and predictive coding solutions on the market providing unprecedented accuracy, increased transparency, a dedicated data analytics center, and defensibility resources. With more than 1,500 review professionals providing around-the-clock support at nine document review facilities across the United States, Europe, and India, Williams and the Huron Legal team are capable of executing large-scale document review projects (including contracts) and performing a full range of services that includes preservation, collection, processing, hosting, review, and production.
Williams has more than 20 years of legal and e-discovery experience both domestically and abroad. Williams joins Huron Legal from Axiom Global, where he served as senior vice president and head of Axiom Managed Discovery providing document and contract review, discovery, and other outsourced legal services for Fortune 500 companies.
Previously, Williams was a partner at DLA Piper's Corporate and Securities department where he handled acquisitions, dispositions, and mergers of various sized companies and venture capital transactions. He was initially based in DLA Piper's Chicago office and spent significant time overseas for the firm living in Korea, and opening and managing offices in China (Shanghai and Beijing) and Qatar. Williams also helped found and manage an LPO in India, and additionally lived and worked in both South Africa and Thailand.
