UBS Wealth Management Americas to Speak at NASPP Annual Conference

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- UBS Wealth Management Americas, a division of UBS AG, announced that three representatives from equity compensation services division have been selected as key speakers for the upcoming National Association of Stock Plan Professionals conference, to be held in Washington, DC from September 23-26.


"We are thrilled to be participating in the 21st Annual NASPP conference. Our clients tell us they are thirsty for information. That's not surprising as equity compensation plan are growing increasingly complex," said Michael Barry, head of the equity compensation services division. "We look forward to sharing our insights and perspective at the conference and beyond."

Stephen Kula, Financial Advisor and Corporate Stock Benefits Consultant, will lead the panel "Rule 10b5-1 Plans Under Attack: The Latest Practices" on September 25. Steve has 17 years experience in offering a variety of wealth management and planning services, specializing in equity compensation plans, including restricted stock, stock options and performance awards. He holds Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses and various insurance licenses. Steve is a Director on the board of the NASPP Chapter in Chicago.

Scott Shurtleff, Director, Platform Development, will lend his expertise to the panel "Employee Mobility: Expatriate Taxation is Only the Tip of the Iceberg" on September 24. Scott has 13 years of experience in the equity compensation field, including the last seven years with UBS. He is a Product Manager on the Platform Development team, with an emphasis on the plan administration and tax mobility capabilities.

Tammy Harris, Director of Plan Administration, will offer her insights on the panel "Survival Skills for Equity Compensation Professionals" on September 24. Tammy has responsibility for plan administration at UBS. In her role, she has oversight of the administration team handling all UBS fully outsourced clients, as well as procedural governance and quality assurance around all aspects of plan administration. She joined UBS in September of 2000, and has held multiple roles serving corporate clients in the equity plan services group. Prior to joining UBS, Tammy served as Compensation Manager at Cracker Barrel Old Country Store.
