Royal Gold to Keep Dividend Steady

The Board of Directors for Royal Gold has announced plans to keep its fourth quarter dividend steady at $0.20 per share of common stock.

The company has paid this amount to investors since January 2013, after it boosted its payout by a nickel (or 33%) from $0.15 per share. Royal Gold's latest dividend will be payable on Oct. 18 to stockholders of record as of Oct. 4.

On an annualized basis, Royal Gold's dividend adds up to $0.80 per share. The company's stock was trading at $51.03 as of the market's close on Sept. 16, which means Royal Gold's dividend currently yields 1.5%.
