Radisys CTO Appointed to Small Cell Forum Executive Board for Third Consecutive Year

Radisys continues its small cell leadership, enabling 15 active small cell trials and deployments around the world

HILLSBORO, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Radisys® Corporation (NAS: RSYS) , a market leader enabling wireless infrastructure solutions, today announced that Chief Technology Officer Manish Singh has been appointed for the third consecutive year to the Executive Board of the Small Cell Forum, the independent industry and operator association that supports small cell deployment worldwide. Radisys brings to the Small Cell Forum a history of small cell industry leadership. The company's Trillium® TOTALeNodeB™ software was deployed in the world's first LTE small cell networks with South Korea Telecom and Korea Telecom, and earlier this year Radisys partnered with Airspan to deliver the world's first commercial LTE-Advanced small cell solution. Radisys is currently engaged in 15 active small cell trials and deployments around the world.

"Manish has been a proven leader on the Executive Board for the past two years, bringing strategic insight and direction to help shape our key initiatives to enable small cell deployments," said Gordon Mansfield, Chairman, Small Cell Forum. "Many congratulations to Radisys; this selection is a high accolade from our industry-leading member companies. I look forward to a continuation of small cell industry leadership from Radisys in the months to come."

"As mobile operators seek to augment their networks' capacity and coverage to meet subscriber demand, they continue to turn to Heterogeneous Networks, or HetNets, adding small cell technology to their macro networks," said Manish Singh, CTO. "We continue to see tremendous demand for our small cell technology, and this recognition by the Small Cell Forum membership for three consecutive years is a testament to Radisys' industry leadership in enabling small cell deployments."

Radisys' small cell software has proven critical to the advancement of small cell deployments around the world. Radisys' TOTALeNodeB solution enables customers to leverage one software solution that can support all small cell deployments across the network, from residential cells that support up to eight users to Pico cells that support 100+ users. This scalability enables rapid deployment.

The Small Cell Forum supports the wide-scale adoption of small cells and has more than 145 members including 67 operators representing more than 2.92 billion mobile subscribers - 47 percent of the global total - as well as telecom hardware and software vendors, content providers and innovative start-ups.
