Vermilion Energy Keeps Dividend Steady

Vermilion Energy has elected to stick with its existing dividend policy. The Canadian energy producer has declared a monthly distribution of C$0.20 ($0.19) per share, to be paid on October 15 to shareholders of record as of September 30. That amount matches each of the is monthly dividends declared so far this calendar year. Prior to that, Vermilion had paid C$0.19 ($0.18) every month since January 2009.

That payment streak continued unabated despite the company's transformation from a trust into a corporation in 2010.

In U.S. dollar terms, the just-declared dividend annualizes to $2.28 per share. That yields 4.2% at Vermilion's most recent closing stock price of $54.91.
