Franklin Resources Keeps Dividend Steady

Global investment management firm Franklin Resourcesannounced today its third-quarter dividend of $0.10 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past three quarters, after raising the payout 11% for the same quarter last year. Franklin also split its shares 3-for-1 in July.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Oct. 11 to the holders of record at the close of business on Sept. 30. The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.40-per-share annual dividend, yielding 0.8% based on the closing price today of Franklin Resources' stock.
