Baker Makes Federal Vice President and Assistant Vice President Appointments

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Michael Baker Jr., Inc., an engineering unit of Michael Baker Corporation (NYSE MKT:BKR), announced today that it has promoted the following individuals to vice president and assistant vice president positions. The appointments include:

Jeff Baker, P.E. - vice president, currently office principal for the Anchorage, Alaska, office. In this role, Baker is responsible for all project administration activities and provides resource management coordination with business line managers and executives.


Mary Anne Buvens, PMP -assistant vice president, Federal Programs. In this role, she leads Baker's Program Development and support teams for Baker's projects and programs in the Department of Homeland Security. She is located in the Moon Township, Pa., office.

Paul Carson, P.E. - assistant vice president and operations manager. In this role, Carson is technical lead for Baker's Pipeline Practice and supports all operations for the Anchorage, Alaska, office.

R. Joseph Chaffin, A.I.A. - assistant vice president and operations/department manager for Baker's Pittsburgh Architecture Practice. He is located in the Moon Township, Pa., office.

Kurt D. Fritz, P.E., LEED Green - assistant vice president and operations/department manager for the Company's Architecture Practice in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he is located.

Dwain Hathaway, P.E. - assistant vice president and Mid-Atlantic Region design-build and structures manager in the Cary, N.C., office. He will also provide support to Baker's Alternative Delivery Unit on design-build projects in the Mid-Atlantic Region, including North Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee and West Virginia.

Burton Johnson, P.E. - assistant vice president, responsible for Baker's Civil and Environmental Engineering operations in Texas, where he is located in the Houston office.

Dave Jula, P.E. - assistant vice president, responsible for Baker's Civil and Environmental Engineering operations in Denver, Colo., where he is located.

Paul McIlree, P.E. - assistant vice president and Southeast Region design-build manager as part of Baker's Alternative Delivery Unit providing support on design-build projects in the Southeast Region, including Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and Arkansas. He is located in Miramar Beach, Fla.

Mark Osler - assistant vice president, responsible for Baker's Civil and Environmental Engineering operations in Alexandria, Va., where he is located.

Tim Quillman, P.E. - assistant vice president responsible for Baker's Civil and Environmental Engineering operations in Phoenix, Ariz., where he is located.

Alfonso Riera -assistant vice president, Federal Programs. In this role, he leads the Program Development and Delivery Teams for Baker servicing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Fort Worth District and support to the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol on the U.S./Mexico Border. He is located in the Arlington, Texas, office.

David Schaarsmith, AICP, PMP, LEED AP - assistant vice president and program manager for all planning efforts within Baker's Defense Market, as well as providing leadership for key efforts in the Company's Federal Civilian Market. He is located in the Moon Township, Pa., office.

Shawn Snisarenko, P.E. - assistant vice president, providing operations support for Baker's Alaska office. He is also a key project manager for strategic clients in Alaska. He is located in the Anchorage, Alaska, office.
