Ultimate Software Earns Spot on the 2013 InformationWeek 500 List of Top Technology Innovators across the U.S.

WESTON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Ultimate Software (NAS: ULTI) , a leading cloud provider of people management solutions, today announced that it was named to this year's InformationWeek 500—a list of the top technology innovators in the U.S. This was Ultimate's second consecutive year being ranked on this exclusive list. The full list can be found at www.informationweek.com/500.

One of the innovations highlighted in Ultimate's submission was the company's new cloud-based connectivity platform—called the UltiPro Carrier Network. The UltiPro Carrier Network provides customers with an easy-to-use, template-based approach to connecting their company's HCM solution to the third-party providers and systems critical to their business ecosystem, such as benefits providers. Through a library of pre-built "connectors," the UltiPro Carrier Network allows customers to eliminate complex and costly manual integrations needed to automate data exchange to third parties. With the UltiPro Carrier Network, Ultimate's customers can easily create, view, and maintain data integrations from the UltiPro solution.

"Businesses continue to expect more connectivity, more data, and more accessibility than ever before, and we consider our cloud services as an opportunity to change the HCM landscape—providing end users with innovative, easy-to-use technology so that businesses can achieve higher levels of adoption, performance, and productivity," said Scott Scherr CEO, president, and founder at Ultimate Software. "Our products and services combine the best of cloud technology with end-to-end human capital management. Receiving this prestigious recognition from InformationWeek validates our focus on continuously improving the HCM technology experience for our customers and their employees."

"The theme of this year's InformationWeek 500 is digital business. It's a movement, rooted in data analytics, mobile computing, social networking, and other customer‐focused technologies that are turning companies and industries on their ear," said InformationWeek Editor In Chief Rob Preston. "Every enterprise is now a digital business—or needs to become one fast. The organizations in our ranking are leading the way."

InformationWeek identifies and honors the most innovative users of information technology in the U.S. with its annual InformationWeek 500 listing, and also tracks the technology, strategies, investments, and administrative practices of some of the best‐known organizations in the country. Past overall winners include Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, PACCAR Inc., The Vanguard Group, CME Group, National Semiconductor, Con‐Way, and Principal Financial Group. Unique among corporate rankings, the InformationWeek 500 spotlights the power of innovation in information technology.
