Amcom has experienced growing demand for its solutions among municipalities and other organizations responsible for public safety
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Amcom Software, Inc. today announced that Stafford Township, N.J. has replaced its aging public safety system with the Amcom pc/psap™ emergency call-taking and dispatch solution. Stafford Township looked to Amcom for a reliable solution that would support their needs after learning their previous vendor no longer supported the legacy system. Amcom pc/psap allows Stafford Township call-takers to dispatch help efficiently. Stafford Township contacted Amcom to find a better way of handling emergency response.
For Stafford Township, finding a solution that would fit in easily with the technology already in place was an important decision factor. Amcom's pc/psap solution synchronizes with the existing phone system and requires no additional hardware or software. Another important criterion was the ability to distinguish between emergency calls and non-emergency calls, critical for Stafford Township's role as a 911 call center/public safety answering point.
"It was a simple decision to work with Amcom," said Christopher Smith, Network Administrator, Stafford Township Police Department. "I spoke with several customers before purchasing and only heard positive things. The Amcom solution provides the level of reliability needed for the township's emergency communications now and into the future."
"We're seeing a strong uptick in public safety solution interest as dependable emergency call-taking technology is really the backbone of effective community response," said Colin Balmforth, President, Amcom Software. "Amcom has a strong track record for providing solutions for public safety, and word of mouth from our customers is contributing to this momentum. We are proud to support a growing number of municipal and military organizations with their emergency communication needs."
