The Department of Defense issued 14 new contracts Wednesday, worth $228.5 million combined. About half the contracts issued benefited the U.S. Navy, with notable awards going to:

  • Tutor Perini , which won a $23.8 million firm-fixed-price task order to perform whole-house revitalization work upgrading 60 housing units located at Lockwood Terrace on Naval Base Guam. Tutor will reconfigure interior living spaces and expand living areas in the houses. This work should be completed by September 2015.

  • Lockheed Martin , awarded a $12.6 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for unspecified "design agent engineering services" by September 2014. This contract includes options that, if exercised, would increase the contract's duration and raise its total value to $38.6 million.

  • Northrop Grumman , recipient of a $10.8 million contract modification to raise the estimated cost ceiling on the engineering and manufacturing development phase of its Ground/Air Task-Oriented Radar (G/ATOR) systems, and to cover other direct costs of the program. This work should be completed by Dec. 31, 2014.

  • And MOOG , which won a $9.9 million firm-fixed-price delivery order to repair 155 swashplate actuators on V-22 tiltrotor aircraft by July 11, 2014.
