Molina Healthcare Names New President in Illinois

OAK BROOK, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Molina Healthcare, Inc. (NYS: MOH) recently announced that Andy Bhugra has been named president of its wholly owned subsidiary Molina Healthcare of Illinois. In this role, Bhugra will be responsible for the development, growth and operational oversight of the Illinois health plan as well as the implementation and execution of various strategic initiatives.

"Andy's extensive knowledge and experience in managed care will be an asset in Illinois where we are a new health plan," said Kathie Mancini, regional vice president of health care operations for Molina Healthcare. "As Molina Healthcare of Illinois strives to deliver quality care to those who need it most, Andy will help guide our strategic expansion throughout the state."

With more than 18 years of leadership experience in health care, Bhugra joined Molina in August 2012 as the plan president of Molina Healthcare of Wisconsin. Prior to joining Molina, Bhugra served as a regional vice president and chief financial officer for AmeriHealth Mercy and has held several executive roles with UnitedHealth Group, Aetna, Inc. and Humana, Inc. Bhugra was also a management consultant with Infogix, where he led technology-based solutions for the health care industry with a focus on Medicare and Medicaid. He earned his Master of Business Administration from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University.
