The Korea Fund, Inc. Announces Semi-Annual Portfolio Manager Conference Call
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Korea Fund, Inc. (the "Fund") (NYS: KF) announced today a semi-annual portfolio manager conference call, to be held at 10:00 a.m. ET, on September 18, 2013. This call is being held as part of the Fund's ongoing effort to provide additional communication to its shareholders.
Sang Won Kim, lead portfolio manager of the Fund at Allianz Global Investors Asia Pacific Limited ("AllianzGI AP"), will be available for any questions on the Korean economy and market during the call. Mr. Kim joined Allianz Global Investors in May 2007 as a portfolio manager for Korean equity portfolios and has over a decade of experience in researching and analyzing companies in South Korea.
Raymond Chan, Chief Investment Officer of AllianzGI AP and portfolio manager of the Fund, will present an outlook on the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Chan began his investment career in 1989 and his investment experience includes a focus on equity markets in South Korea, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.
Jenny Ng, Product Specialist for Allianz Global Investors' Asian strategies, will present an economic update on Korea on behalf of Mr. Kim for the call. Ms. Ng has over 13 years of experience in the financial services industry. She joined Allianz Global Investors (Hong Kong) in 2005 and moved to San Francisco in January 2010 to promote Allianz Global Investors Asia Pacific investment capabilities in the U.S.
