Now that the dust has settled, it's looking more and more as if Samsung's recently unveiled Galaxy Gear smartwatch is anything but smart. One analyst called the device "a prototype masquerading as a consumer product," and fairly so. The general agreement is that the Galaxy Gear will need to make some serious improvements to become a real winner. And although that moment still seems quite a way off, Samsung does still have a serious advantage over its arch-nemesis Apple as they both vie for pole position in this emerging growth market.
