ChannelAdvisor and CEO Scot Wingo Selected as Finalists for 2013 NCTA 21 Awards

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ChannelAdvisor (NYS: ECOM) , a leading provider of cloud-based e-commerce solutions that enable retailers and manufacturers to increase global sales, today announced its recognition from the North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA) as a finalist for this year's NCTA 21 Software Company of the Year award. ChannelAdvisor CEO Scot Wingo is also a finalist for the Technology Executive of the Year award, which is the only award decided by a public vote. Voters can submit their votes via NCTA's website until September 27.

"The local technology community has played a significant role in making ChannelAdvisor what it is today, so it is an honor to be recognized as finalists in two categories for this year's NCTA 21 Awards," said Wingo. "NCTA is influential in the development of the local technology sector, which is important for future innovation in North Carolina. We are thrilled to be acknowledged by this organization and alongside such an impressive group of accomplished companies and executives."

The NCTA 21 Awards is North Carolina's most prestigious and longest running statewide technology awards program. The annual showcase honors companies and individuals in 21 categories who represent the best and brightest in technology and business.

As co-founder and CEO of ChannelAdvisor, Wingo leads the company in its mission to help retailers and manufacturers successfully sell more across multiple channels with its cloud-based e-commerce solutions. Prior to launching ChannelAdvisor, Wingo successfully started and exited two companies, establishing himself as a serial entrepreneur as well as an expert and thought leader in the technology and e-commerce industries. Within the technology realm, Wingo advises several companies and serves on the Technology Advisory Committee at Southern Capital Ventures. Wingo also regularly gives back to the community through his work with Shop.org, the Council for Entrepreneurial Development, the Entrepreneurship Initiative at North Carolina State University and the North Carolina State University Engineering Foundation.

A review committee comprised of non-profit, media, education and technology leaders across the state selects the finalists. The awards process culminates with the NCTA 21 Awards Gala on November 7, at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center in Durham, N.C., where 800-plus leaders will gather to celebrate the tech sector and honor finalists in each category. Winners will be announced live that evening.
