Goldcorp Keeps Monthly Dividend Steady

Goldcorp is continuing to work financial alchemy by transforming its signature precious metal into cash.

The company today declared its latest monthly dividend, which is to be $0.05 per share paid on Sept. 27 to shareholders of record as of Sept. 19. That amount is in line with each of the firm's monthly payouts so far this year. Throughout 2012, as well as in December 2011, Goldcorp dispensed half a cent less, at $0.045.

The company has been a habitual and steady dividend payer over the years. It began handing out a monthly distribution in 2003.

The just-declared dividend annualizes to $0.60 per share. That yields 2.1% at Goldcorp's current stock price of $29.01.
