Wells Fargo Insurance, part of Wells Fargo & Company (NYS: WFC) , today announced three new leaders to its Midwest team. Barton Bates, Tony Evans, and Stephen Zimmer will join the Midwest Insurance team as the company continues to grow its property and casualty, employee benefits and private risk management services in one of the fastest growing regions for Wells Fargo Insurance.

  • Barton Bateswill lead the commercial lines service teams in Chicago and provide insurance placement assistance to the Midwest region as the regional placement leader. Reporting to Jim Wylie, managing director for Chicago, Bates most recently served as Chicago placement officer at Willis of Illinois.

  • Tony Evanswas named senior sales executive and will manage customers within Wells Fargo's Risk Management Solutions segment. Also reporting to Wylie, Evans was most recently president of Hylant's Chicago operations.

  • Stephen Zimmer was named the new National Property Practice leader and will focus on the design and negotiation of property insurance placements. He reports to Doug O'Brien, National Casualty and Alternative Risk Practice leader. Zimmer was most recently senior vice president and National Brokerage Property Placement leader for Marsh, a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies.

Serving Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin, Wells Fargo Insurance has 36 offices in the Midwest.
