Werner Enterprises Keeps $0.05 Quarterly Dividend Steady

Werner Enterprises plans to pay its shareholders a dividend of $0.05 per share this quarter.

The dividend will be payable on Oct. 22 to stockholders of record as of Oct. 7, and is the same amount the company has paid since July 2007, after boosting its payout 11% from $0.045 per share.

The transportation and logistics company has paid a consistent quarterly dividend for 27 years, and has also paid investors a special dividend each November since 2008. Last year, Werner declared a $1.50 special dividend, in addition to its $0.05 quarterly payout.


On an annualized basis, Werner's quarterly dividend equals $0.20 per share of common stock. As of the market's close on Sept. 5 the company's stock was trading at $23.57. This means Werner's dividend currently yields 0.8%.
