Prosperity Bancshares Keeps Dividend Steady

Regional bank holding company Prosperity Bancsharesannounced yesterday its third-quarter dividend of $0.215 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past three quarters after raising the payout 10%, from $0.195 per share.

The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Oct. 1 to the holders of record at the close of business on Sept. 16. The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.86-per-share annual dividend, yielding 1.4% based on the closing price today of Prosperity Bancshares' stock.
