CA Technologies and Mycroft Partner to Deliver Comprehensive Capabilities in Identity and Access Management-as-a-Service

Companies Combine Decades of IAM Experience and Top Tier Security Operations Center Management to Provide Cloud-based IAM for Mid-Sized, Emerging Businesses

ISLANDIA, N.Y. & NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CA Technologies (NAS: CA) and Mycroft Inc. today announced XSpectra, a new robust cloud service from Mycroft that combines CA CloudMinder™, the Identity and Access Management (IAM) as-a-Service solution from CA Technologies, with Mycroft's proven industry innovations and top-tier security operations center management expertise. Available today, XSpectra offers a full suite of IAM services in a cost-effective, secure model.

Mycroft designed XSpectra as a fully managed service offering for mid-size and emerging businesses. It leverages CA CloudMinder's identity management, advanced authentication and federated single sign-on capabilities, for both cloud-based and on-premise applications, to help customers quickly and affordably manage identities, secure applications and protect sensitive business data.

"Whether a company has five employees or thousands, it has become critical to ensure access to information is controlled and secure, but traditional identity and access management systems can be cost prohibitive or limiting for smaller organizations due to staffing or hardware and software costs," said Jon Freeman, Mycroft Inc. CEO. "XSpectra makes all of these issues a thing of the past. Delivered as an on-demand subscription-based service, XSpectra provides mid-sized and smaller organizations the full benefits of advanced IAM functionality at a fraction of the time and cost."

Focused on delivering a full spectrum of identity and access management services that integrate with a wide range of customer environments, XSpectra, powered by CA CloudMinder, expands Mycroft's current market offerings with automated provisioning beyond Active Directory to include any targeted endpoint whether on-premise or in the cloud. Additionally, the innovative service incorporates multifactor and risk-based authentication with a wide variety of credential formats and allows for configurable policies for custom risk assessments, helping organizations reduce risk by limiting usage of static passwords to access applications.

XSpectra also delivers a wide range of foundational identity services including user self-service and federated single sign-on to applications, across cloud, hosted or on-premise environments. XSpectra offers the flexibility of a choice with three support level packages to meet the budgets and needs of a wide variety of customers.

CA Technologies has been methodically fulfilling its "to, for, from the cloud" product strategy for cloud security by providing IAM solutions that: provision users and help customers securely access cloud services; allow cloud service providers to implement IAM for their own cloud offerings; and provide IAM-as-a-Service from the cloud with CA CloudMinder.

"Partners are an important part of how we go to market to protect organizations as they use cloud services," said Mike Denning, senior vice president and general manager, Security, CA Technologies. "In addition to hosting CA CloudMinder ourselves, we understand the need to partner with companies like Mycroft, which has exceptional skills in security operations management and can help reach the mid-size business market. We also understand the need to partner globally to address any data sovereignty issues customers may face in that market when it comes to using cloud services."
