Looking back upon the first half of 2013, the energy and materials sectors hosted three of the worst performing stocks of the S&P 500. Thankfully for long-term investors, the time horizon for some of these companies is still far off in the distance. Will companies like United States Steel , First Solar and Alpha Natural Resources rebound over the next few years? Motley Fool analyst Taylor Muckerman chats with Joel South and provides his opinion below.
