Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management Hires Matt Montana as Head of Equity Trading, Americas

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management (DeAWM) announced today that Matt Montana has joined the firm as a Managing Director and Head of Equity Trading, Americas. Montana is based in New York and reports to Joshua Friedberg, Head of Trading, Americas.

In this new role, Montana is responsible for managing all of DeAWM's equity trading business in the Americas. He joins DeAWM from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he spent 25 years in the New York and London offices in senior trading roles, most recently as a Managing Director in charge of Non-Dollar Sales and Trading.

Friedberg said: "We continue to strengthen our trading team in parallel with the expansion of DeAWM's equity investment platform in the Americas. Matt has deep market knowledge from his background as a highly experienced trader and he will be an integral part of the team."

Montana's appointment is part of DeAWM's initiative to enhance its equities investment offering. Portfolio manager Richard Glass joined the firm in August as U.S. Head of Small and Mid Cap Value Equities, along with two other investment professionals, Richard Hanlon and Mary Schafer. Glass, Hanlon and Schafer are based in New York. Additionally, Sean Taylor joined as Head of Emerging Market Equities, based in London.
