Tesla Brings Supercharger Network to Europe

In its effort to expand its Supercharger network, Teslalaunched its first European Superchargers today. They are operational in the Norwegian cities of Lyngdal, Aurland, Dombås, Gol, Cinderella, and Lillehammer.
Tesla's European Supercharging stations allow Model S owners to charge vehicles to half of their battery capacity in 20 minutes.
Tesla said 90% of the Norway population lives within about 200 miles of a Supercharger station. The company said in a press release that "Model S customers can drive routes such as the E6 from Trondheim to Oslo, the E18 from Oslo to Kristiansand, the E39 from Kristiansand to Stavanger, and Highway7 from Oslo to Gol for free and with minimal stops."
The company sent Model S vehicles toward Oslo this morning from locations in the north, west and south of Norway. It said that during their 500 km journeys, each car charged at two of the new Tesla Supercharger locations.
