Brown Shoe Maintains Dividend

Brown Shoe is walking straight ahead as far as its shareholder payout is concerned. The company has declared its latest dividend, which is to be $0.07 per share paid on October 1 to shareholders of record as of September 20. That amount is in line with the company's long-standing policy; it has paid the same in every quarter since July 2007.

Brown Shoe is a habitual and steady dividend payer. In the press release announcing the upcoming disbursement, it pointed out that the payout will be its 363rd in a row.

The just-declared dividend annualizes to $0.28 per share. That yields 1.2% at Brown Shoe's most recent closing stock price of $23.10.
