UFP Technologies Announces New Vice President of Operations

GEORGETOWN, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- UFP Technologies, Inc., a manufacturer of packaging and component products, announced today it has named David Smith Vice President of Operations.

Prior to joining UFP Technologies, David spent nearly 25 years at Rogers Corporation in a variety of capacities. His most recent role was Vice President & General Manager of their $180 million high-performance foam division, which services the medical, automotive, consumer, electronics, and industrial markets from factories in the United States, China, and Korea.

David holds a BS degree in Physics from Muhlenberg College and an MS degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Lehigh University, and has been awarded numerous patents.

UFP Technologies is a producer of innovative custom-engineered components, products, and specialty packaging. Using foams, plastics, composites, and natural fiber materials, the Company designs and manufactures a vast range of solutions primarily for the medical, automotive, aerospace and defense, and packaging markets.
