Evolution Fresh™ Cold-Pressed Juice and Evolution Harvest™ Snacks Launch Nationwide in Whole Foods Market®

National Availability Expands Market Share in the $1.6 Billion Super-Premium Juice Category

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Beginning today, consumers across the U.S. can taste Evolution Fresh's high-quality, delicious and nutritious cold-pressed juice - along with a selection from the new Evolution Harvest™ line of premium snacks - for the first time at Whole Foods Market. The brand's distribution has increased steadily since it was acquired by the Starbucks Coffee Company (NAS: SBUX) in 2011, with the roll out at Whole Foods Market completing nationwide availability. This expansion advances Evolution Fresh growth plans to be in approximately 8,000 Starbucks and grocery locations by the end of the year.

"We've received enthusiastic customer support in every market where we've introduced Evolution Fresh juice, and have been working toward our goal of national distribution since the acquisition," said Chris Bruzzo, senior vice president, Channel Brand Management and general manager, Evolution Fresh. "We are excited to offer not only 12 of our most popular juices to Whole Foods Market customers across the country, but also two exclusive juices and an entirely new line of wholesome snacks with the launch of Evolution Harvest."

Whole Foods Market will debut 12 favorite juices and two exclusive juices - Organic Ruby Roots and Organic Sweet Burn - in addition to three Evolution Harvest snack bars. Evolution Fresh juices are cold-pressed and never heated, using high pressure processing (HPP) to deliver more of the flavors, vitamins and nutrients of raw fruits and vegetables than traditional heat pasteurized juices. Delivering on the brand's commitment to provide accessible nutrition, all green vegetable juices in the brand portfolio now include kale. Additionally, the company focuses on including organic and non-GMO ingredients whenever possible. The suggested retail price of Evolution Fresh juice ranges from $2.99 - $6.99 (15.2 fl oz).

Evolution Harvest arrives in Starbucks Fall 2013

The Evolution Harvest platform offers naturally delicious and nutritious bars, trail mixes, and fruit snacks made with real ingredients.
