On Tuesday, August 27 at 11:15 a.m. PT, Steve VanWieren, principal statistician and data scientist for Ultimate Software, will discuss why HR departments are now focusing on big data, show how to correlate predictive analytics with employee data to forecast employee departures, and outline best practices when evaluating workforce trends for improved employee retention. This session focuses on how advanced analytics can be used to identify factors that might cause an employee's departure and help people managers improve talent engagement and retention.

She has over 20 years of experience, both as an HR practitioner and with HRMS product strategy, sales, and implementations in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe.

Steve VanWieren is responsible for developing Ultimate Software's analytics products, including pioneering the use of predictive analytics for managing people.
