PPL Keeps Dividend Steady
PPL isn't shifting from its current dividend policy. The company has declared its latest quarterly common stock distribution, which is to be $0.3675 per share paid on Oct. 1 to shareholders of record as of Sept. 10. That amount matches both of the company's previous two disbursements, the most recent of which was paid at the beginning of July. Before that, PPL paid an even $0.36 per share.
In the press release announcing the news, the company didn't hesitate to mention that the upcoming distribution will be its 271st consecutive quarterly payout.
It annualizes to $1.47 per share, yielding 4.8% at PPL's most recent closing stock price of $30.88.
